Lawrence "Trey" Rhodes is a designer, SQL programmer, and computer hacker living in Phoenix, Arizona. A former resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, he relocated to his childhood home, a grand stucco empire in the Sonoran Desert, to start a family free from urban hostility. Over the last 25 years, he has studied studio art as well as chemistry, engineering, and computer science.
He spends his days drinking strong coffee, laboring in the digital domain, and illustrating wherever pictorial embellishment is even slightly called for. He is also a guitarist and songwriter of the instrumental combo The Surfside IV and has recently won the New Times Best of Phoenix for his work on their concert poster art.
Trey greatly respects the work of Saul Bass, Linus Pauling, Grace Hopper, Buckminster Fuller, Charles & Ray Eames, Dick Feynman, Charley Harper, Thelonious Monk, and not necessarily in that order.
